Policies & FAQs


HOLDING FEE & BALANCE DUE. A $200 non-refundable holding fee is required to book a session. Your balance is be due at the end of your shoot. We accept MasterCard, Visa, checks and cash, but we do not accept American Express.

RESCHEDULING. Rescheduling is allowed ONCE with 2 business days notice. Rescheduling with less than 2-business days notice is considered a cancellation and your holding fee/deposit is sacrificed. If you reschedule, your rescheduled appointment must be within 6 months of your original session date. There are no exceptions to this policy.

IF WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE.  Your time is as valuable as ours. So, if for some reason we have to reschedule the date of your shoot, you'll receive a discount of $50 off of your remaining balance. Or, you can choose to receive a full refund of your deposit if you'd rather cancel than reschedule.

WEATHER RESCHEDULING. On rare super-dark rainy days, we might have to reschedule. While we appreciate how long clients wait to shoot with us, we can't control the weather and don't want to compromise the quality of your images. If we have to cancel for weather related issues, we'll reschedule you as quickly as possible. Or, if you prefer, we're happy to refund your deposit.

LATE ARRIVALS. If you're late for your shoot, this will result in less shoot time and fewer images/looks as we may have a client coming after you. If you're over 50 minutes late, this is considered a cancellation and will result in the forfeiture of your holding fee. There are NO exceptions to this rule. But who would be 50 minutes late to their photo shoot?

NO-SHOWS: If the voices in your head tell you not to show up, or you cancel, you will forfeit your holding fee/deposit.

SESSION REVIEW & DISC RELEASE: You'll receive your images within 3 business days of your shoot via a private, Gallery/VIRTUAL CD. Please see above for how this works.

RETOUCHING. Retouching is optional and not included in your shoot fee. That said, we STRONGLY SUGGEST that you retouch. For most clients it is necessary. In fact, 99% of our clients retouch. So, you should probably do it, too. We have two great referral retouchers that have both worked with Kenneth for many years. We will give your their information at your shoot.

FOR PARENTS OF YOUTH CLIENTS: For any clients under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian is required to be present and in visual/auditory range of their child at all times. We have a sofa in the studio lounge where you will be able to see and hear everything. Sit back on our sofa, and enjoy watching your child have laugh and have fun.

ARTISTIC COMPOSITION: Kenneth takes interesting, creative and dynamically composed photos. He has a definite style of shooting that is clearly reflected in our online portfolio and in our promotional material. That's probably why you hired Kenneth. Sometimes he crops closely, or crops off the top of heads, or shoots off center to create a compelling and dynamic composition and sense of movement.  If you don't like this style of shooting, please think twice before booking since he does not change his signature style.

LOOKS. A "look" is defined as a single change of wardrobe, or a single change of hair/makeup, or any combo of the two. But Kenneth will on occasion shoot multiple outfits for each look.

RE-SHOOTS & REFUNDS. Photographs are artistic creations. Interpretation of artistic creations is extremely subjective. Because of this, there are NO re-shoots or refunds for any reasons other than technical issues/malfunctions where the client does not receive at least 100 images in clear focus. There are NO exceptions to this rule. But don’t worry, if we drop the ball, we will bring you back.


You don’t pay us your balance until the end of your shoot, after your actual shoot is over. That is for an important reason. Because we want to ensure your happiness shooting here. So, if at any point during your shoot you don’t like Kenneth’s sometimes improvisational style or his directions, SPEAK UP. Tell us. And we’ll take a different approach. You since you haven’t pre-paid, you also have the right to stop your shoot at any time if you choose (of course you do not get the photos if you do this). We do this to ensure that you great shots AND a great experience, and to make sure that the lines of communication are open.
